Massachusetts General Hospital Donation

The Jenny Fund recently presented its yearly donation to Massachusetts General Hospital in the sum of $70,024. For the first time, we gave a donation of $20,000 to the Choi Research Fund. We also gave our continuing donation to the William Curry Research Fund in the sum of $50,024. Dr. Bryan Choi is on Dr. William Curry's surgery team and works with Dr. Curry to find new treatments for brain tumor patients. Many of you have heard Dr. Curry and Dr. Choi speak at our annual Jenny Fund Classic held each year in August and have seen them both out on the course each year.

Jenny Fund 5th Annual Golf Tournament - Aug 4th, 2023

We are very excited about our next upcoming event, our 5th Annual Golf Tournament, which will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023 at the Passaconaway Country Club in Litchfield, NH.

We are also thrilled to inform you that the Jenny Fund continues to make incredible progress towards achieving our head-up, heart-strong mission of finding a cure for cancer through our direct support of the groundbreaking research currently underway at the Translational Brain Tumor Immunology Laboratory at Mass General Hospital (MGH). We recently had the pleasure of visiting MGH to meet with Dr. William Curry and Dr. Bryan Choi for an annual in-depth review of their ongoing work, where we learned of the many promising clinical trials and research areas that are starting to give real hope to patients fighting against this terrible disease. During our meeting, the Jenny Fund made yet another contribution to MGH in the amount of $50,000, which was made possible by the continuous support that we receive from you and others in the Jenny Fund community. In combination with previous donations dating back to 2018, this now brings our total MGH contributions to nearly $275,000!

Brain Tumor Research Update

This article is dedicated to Jen Gureckis and all she did during her lifetime for brain cancer research at MGH and to her parents, John and Sandi Gureckis, her brother John Gureckis III, Chairman of the Jenny Fund, and her sister, Heather Gureckis Mucci, who are keeping Jen's dreams alive that a cure would be found one day to help others faced with the same diagnosis she had. Their determination is the backbone of the success of the Jenny Fund non profit organization.

Adam C. Gureckis Jr

Uncle Adam was essential to the Jenny Fund’s success. He fought cancer with the same tenacity as his niece Jen. Cancer is a devastating disease and has taken far too many. After Jen passed, Uncle Adam asked to help make the Jenny Fund successful. His relationships with the Nashua community were critical to Jenny Fund supporting youth basketball camps and the Annual Jenny Fund Golf Tournament. He is an integral part of the Jenny Fund team and the donations of $250,000 to cancer research and youth community programs. When we launched the Jenny Fund, he advocated to start a golf tournament. In 2019, we held our first golf tournament and it was a huge hit. We had teams filled within the first 3 days because of his determination to make it a success. We raised almost $35,000 dollars that first year and it has grown year over year since, raising $50,000 in 2021. Uncle Adam will be deeply missed. He loved raising money for Jenny’s cause and his cancer diagnoses only made him more determined to help.

Our Events and Programs

Basketball Clinics

Get out side and enjoy the month of June. We do basketball clinics each Saturday at the Nashua Ledge Street Outdoor Basketball Courts. Kids age 6-10 are welcome to come out and best of all it is Free!

We are also actively working to expand our basketball program beyond NH borders to the Boston, MA area, and are hopeful that we can host our first basketball camp with Boston PAL this fall.

Golf Tournament

Last year was our third annual golf tournament. We had an amazing turn out and raised over $50,000 that helped us be successful in donating $100,000 to the Translational Brain Tumor Immunology Lab.
